Licensed moneylenders operate under the Moneylenders Act and are regulated by MinLaw. Interest is capped at 4% per month. All fees are capped by law. We cannot harass you, contact your family, or take any action outside the legal recovery process. Loan sharks are unlicensed and operate with no cap on charges or collection methods. If any lender contacted you unsolicited by SMS or WhatsApp offering a loan, they are not a licensed moneylender. MinLaw prohibits licensed moneylenders from soliciting business that way.

Yes. Bank rejections are based on CBS credit scores and automated risk models. We assess your current income and your MLCB record — your licensed moneylender borrowing history. A low CBS score caused by bank debt does not automatically disqualify you from borrowing at Swift Credit.
There is no minimum income threshold to apply. Your borrowing limit is determined by your income level under MinLaw regulations. Singapore citizens and PRs earning below SGD 20,000 annually can borrow up to SGD 3,000. Those earning SGD 20,000 or above can borrow up to 6 times their monthly income. These limits are aggregated across all licensed moneylenders combined.
Yes. Bring your IRAS Notice of Assessment or 3 months of bank statements showing regular income. If your income data is linked to Singpass MyInfo, the application process is the same as for salaried employees.
Yes. If you have been officially discharged from bankruptcy, you may apply. Current undischarged bankruptcies and those with pending bankruptcy proceedings are not eligible.
Yes, as long as your total outstanding balance across all licensed moneylenders has not reached your MinLaw limit. We check your MLCB record at application and confirm your available borrowing headroom before you visit our office.
Interest is capped by MinLaw at 4% per month on the reducing balance. This means interest is calculated on your outstanding principal after each repayment — not on the original loan amount. As you repay, the amount of interest charged each month decreases. On a SGD 5,000 loan over 6 months, the total interest paid is SGD 723 — not SGD 1,200.
A one-time admin fee of up to 10% of the principal is deducted at disbursement. A late payment fee of up to SGD 60 per month applies if a payment is missed. No other fees are charged. Total charges across the entire loan — all interest and fees combined — cannot exceed the original principal amount borrowed. That cap is set by MinLaw.
No. MinLaw caps total charges at the original principal amount. If you borrow SGD 5,000, the maximum you will ever pay back in total is SGD 10,000. That is your SGD 5,000 principal plus a maximum of SGD 5,000 in fees, interest and late charges combined. Once that ceiling is reached, no further charges accrue.
For personal, payday, foreigner, wedding, renovation, debt consolidation, and monthly installment loans, the interest rate is capped at 4% per month on a reducing balance. Business loans are assessed differently. Contact us directly for a business loan rate quote.
The fastest way is through Singpass MyInfo. Your identity, income, and employment data are retrieved automatically from government records. It takes 2 minutes. If you do not have Singpass or prefer a different approach, call us at +65 6684 4129 or walk into our office at 192 Waterloo Street, #02-06 during office hours.
Yes. MinLaw requires all loan agreements to be signed in person at our registered office before any funds are disbursed. This protects you — it ensures you have read and understood every term before committing. We walk through the full contract with you before you sign. You can walk away at any point at no cost.
Our loan consultant will call you to confirm your assessment result. We tell you what you qualify for before you visit. If you do not qualify, we tell you by phone — you do not travel to us for an answer you could receive from home. If you do qualify, we arrange your office visit, walk through the contract, and disburse funds the same day after signing.
Applications submitted during office hours are typically assessed the same day. Once you visit our office and sign the contract, funds are disbursed immediately — cash on the spot or bank transfer.
Yes. Call us at +65 6684 4129 or walk in directly. For walk-in applications, bring your physical NRIC. Foreigners should bring their passport, valid work pass, proof of address, and 3 months of payslips. We process walk-in applications fully in person.
Yes. No early repayment penalties apply to any loan at Swift Credit. You receive an interest rebate on the remaining months you clear. Repaying early reduces your total cost. Contact us before making a full early repayment so we can confirm the exact outstanding balance and calculate your rebate.
Contact us before the due date — not after. A late payment fee of up to SGD 60 per month applies to overdue amounts, plus late interest at 4% per month on the overdue installment only. The earlier you contact us, the more options we have available. Total charges across the entire loan remain capped at the original principal regardless of how long a delay runs.
Speak to us directly at +65 6684 4129. Extensions and restructuring are assessed individually. Contact us before your due date. The earlier we know about a difficulty, the more we can do.
No. We do not contact your employer under any circumstances. Your loan is recorded only in the MLCB system, which is visible solely to licensed moneylenders when you apply for a loan. It is not accessible to employers, government agencies, HDB, MOM, or any party outside the licensed moneylending system.
No. Licensed moneylender loans are recorded in the MLCB system, which is entirely separate from the CBS credit report that banks and HDB check. Borrowing from Swift Credit does not appear on your CBS report and does not change your CBS score.
Yes. The Singpass MyInfo connection goes through the official government Singpass API. Swift Credit retrieves your data automatically through this secure channel. We never ask for your Singpass password directly. Your information is handled with 256-bit encryption and is not shared beyond MinLaw reporting requirements.
